We design all our classes based on students’ needs. Every class is based on limited pre-registration in order to keep our classes small and intimate. Here is our June – July session:

From June 7 ~ July 26 (8 sessions) | Wednesdays 6-7:15pm $165
Slow stretch and sweat
A gentle sequence that allows you to enjoy the slow pace but also get ready to sweat. We will also introduce a couple of Yin poses, encouraging long holds and deeper stretching. Some restorative poses might come after the soothing flow as a sweet surprise. Intensity will be adjusted based on the students’ needs.

From June 1~ June 29 (5 sessions) | Thursdays 6-7:15pm $103
Slow, deep stretching and restorative
This class will be focus on neck, shoulders, back and hips stretching. Those are the areas that most of people will have the pain, tightness or tension.We will use different props including ball,dowel,brick and bolster to help you experience the much deeper stretch especially the use of wooden dowels is to help release and rehydrate our tight connective tissue. No yoga experience is needed.

From June 3 ~ July 22 (8 sessions) | Saturdays 11-12:15pm $165
Invigorating, adventurous and fun
This class involves structured, faster-paced Ashtanga influenced sequences with 2-3 challenging poses. We will focus on strengthening and stretching. Though we offer lots of modifications and hands on adjustments to serve all levels, people with a minimum of 6 month power yoga experience will best enjoy this class.

Slow soothing and restorative
Pregnancy is an amazing journey. Let us empower you to overcome fear and embrace every moment of this transformation in your body and life. Our class includes gentle stretching to decrease the back pain and increase muscle endurance. We will also explore breathing techniques to help reduce anxiety and stress and vocal toning and chanting to create the bonding with the baby. These techniques will also relax the body and helps labour.

Commit to the two classes you love most from June 1~ July 31 (18 sessions) $340 (If you choose W+S, you may have 17 sessions, but you're welcome to take a Thursday class so you will get total 18 sessions.)

Drop in $21 (members) $22 (non-members). Please give us a heads up by email to ensure there is a spot for you. No drop-in for prenatal yoga.

Early Bird Rate & Studio Policy

  • Save $10 if you pay for any course (except prenatal) in full at least 15 days before your start date.
  • Payment Method can be by e-Transfer, cash or cheque. Cheques are payable to The Mat Yoga.
  • We do not provide refunds. However, classes require a minimum attendance to run. If we must cancel a class, you will be refunded or choose to use the credits for other classes.
  • No make up classes. But, we will run a complimentary community class/ sample class once a month, which is open to members and non-members. Feel free to use this class as your extra practice or your make-up class.
  • Community / sample class will be 75 mins. All levels will enjoy this class. Details and registration form will be announced on The Mat Yoga Vancouver Facebook 1-2 weeks ahead. Please download the form and send it back to us before the deadline.
  • Community classes also support people who may not have the funds to sign up for a full class. We want to help people get access to yoga. If you can’t make it to class, please make sure you cancel your registration within 48 hours so we can give your spot to someone who needs it.
